sistema propulsivo monta quattro motori <strong>Hobbywing V5212 275KV<\/strong> con eliche <strong>MSC 17\u00d75.8<\/strong> e controllori <strong>XRotor Pro H80A 14S<\/strong>. La scelta di eliche da 17 pollici a bassa velocit\u00e0 di rotazione non \u00e8 casuale: propulsori pi\u00f9 lenti e grandi sono pi\u00f9 effefficienti di quelli piccoli e veloci, e su un velivolo che deve stare in aria il pi\u00f9 a lungo possibile ogni watt conta.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">Le batterie sono configurabili a livello di pacco: la configurazione <strong>12S1P<\/strong> riduce il peso per missioni brevi, mentre la <strong>12S2P<\/strong> aumenta la capacit\u00e0 totale per missioni pi\u00f9 lunghe \u2014 una flessibilit\u00e0 operativa che permette di adattare il velivolo al profilo di missione senza modifiche strutturali. Il <strong>payload sferico<\/strong> \u2014 un oggetto da circa 6.4 cm di diametro \u2014 \u00e8 alloggiato in una gabbia cilindrica con sportello comandato da un micro-servo: quando il servo si attiva, lo sportello ruota e rilascia il payload in modo rapido e affidabile. Il <strong>payload cubico<\/strong> \u2014 circa 1 kg \u2014 richiede un sistema pi\u00f9 robusto: un meccanismo a spina blocca il payload durante il volo e lo rilascia disimpegnando il collegamento tramite servo. La parte maschio \u00e8 installata sul drone, quella femmina \u00e8 integrata direttamente nel payload.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">Entrambi i sistemi sono stati testati ripetutamente per garantire ritenzione dir=\"ltr\">A bordo gira una <strong>pipeline di visione artificiale<\/strong> completa, organizzata in stadi sequenziali con responsabilit\u00e0 ben definite: acquisizione immagine, preprocessing, inferenza, geolocalizzazione, clustering delle osservazioni e aggiornamento della missione in volo.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">La camera \u00e8 una <strong>Basler a2A5320<\/strong> con sensore Sony IMX542 da 16 megapixel a <strong>otturatore globale<\/strong> \u2014 scelta specifica per eliminare le distorsioni da rolling shutter in condizioni di vibrazione. Abbinata a un obiettivo da 16 mm, il sistema \u00e8 in grado di rilevare target da 0.6 a 90 metri di quota con una risoluzione di circa 39\u00d739 pixel \u2014 sufficiente per classificarli e localizzarli con precisione. Il computer di bordo \u00e8 un <strong>NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin<\/strong> con 275 TOPS di potenza di calcolo AI.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">Il modello di rilevamento \u00e8 <strong>YOLO<\/strong>, implementato tramite Ultralytics con supporto TensorRT. Le immagini ad alta risoluzione vengono suddivise in tile da 640\u00d7640 pixel con 20% di sovrapposizione, per preservare i dettagli dei target pi\u00f9 piccoli senza perdere informazioni ai bordi. Le detection vengono poi riproiettate in coordinate geografiche tramite ray casting e telemetria sincronizzata, e osservazioni ripetute dello stesso target vengono aggregate tramite clustering per produrre una stima stabile e affidabile.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">La validazione della pipeline non si \u00e8 limitata ai voli reali. Il team ha sviluppato due strumenti complementari: un sistema di <strong>replay<\/strong> che riproduce missioni registrate per analisi offline, e un <strong>simulatore Unreal Engine custom<\/strong> integrato con PX4 SITL che genera in tempo reale il moto del velivolo, lo stato dell&#8217;autopilota e le immagini della camera. I dataset di training sono stati generati con <strong>Blender<\/strong>, creando automaticamente immagini aeree annotate in condizioni variabili di luce, texture, angolazione e scala dei target<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-a952b06 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"a952b06\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-b6d9027\" data-id=\"b6d9027\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fae0554 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fae0554\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Il PCB custom: decodificare il protocollo proprietario<\/strong><\/h2><p dir=\"ltr\">Una delle innovazioni hardware pi\u00f9 significative di SFT-QUAD \u00e8 un <strong>PCB sviluppato internamente<\/strong> per interfacciare i controllori motore con il flight stack. Gli ESC Hobbywing comunicano tramite un protocollo CAN proprietario non documentato pubblicamente \u2014 il team ha decodificato i messaggi necessari e ha progettato una scheda compatta basata su <strong>ESP32-C3<\/strong> che traduce la telemetria in messaggi <strong>MAVLink<\/strong> standard, accessibili da PX4.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">Questo ha reso possibile l&#8217;accesso ai dati RPM in tempo reale, abilitando il filtro notch dinamico descritto sopra.
